A Point of Convergence: CPIP Statutory Updates 2026

Employers and human resource practitioners regularly coordinate with different government agencies, each responsible for a specific aspect of employment, employee welfare, and labor regulations. Recognizing the value of making these updates accessible in one setting, Calamba Premiere International Park (CPIP) launched Statutory Updates on July 24, 2026, at EcoWonder Park.

The inaugural event marked two firsts for CPIP. It was the industrial park’s first program dedicated exclusively to statutory updates and the first locator engagement activity held outside its premises. Throughout the day, HR practitioners and company representatives received updates directly from government agencies, interacted with participating organizations, and exchanged ideas with fellow locators within a single program.

Four government agencies led the discussions, each presenting updates within its area of responsibility.

Representing the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation – Calamba Office, Social Insurance Officer I Manuel K. Manguiat, discussed PhilHealth YAKAP and shared updates on member programs and services.

The Social Security System – Calamba was represented by Account Officer Marvin A. Dorigo, who presented updates on SSS programs and member services. Joining him was Medical Specialist III Dr. Eleanor L. Repatacodo, who discussed medical-related services and addressed participants’ concerns.

For the Pag-IBIG Fund – Calamba, MS1 Marketing Head Reden C. Serrano, presented updates on the Fund’s savings programs and member opportunities.

Representing the Department of Labor and Employment – Regional Office IV-A, Senior Labor and Employment Officers Deah Celeste P. Tercias, Jennifer Taip, and Ma. Cristella Caspillan discussed current labor and employment developments affecting employers and the workforce.

The program also featured presentations from event sponsors Triumvir Cybernetics, Jupiter Systems Inc., Tubo.ph, Solid Manila Finance, Inc., St. Peter Life Plan, Inc., Converge ICT Solutions Inc., and Enchanted Kingdom. Their presentations and exhibit booths introduced participants to products and services related to workplace safety, enterprise technology, workforce management, financing, connectivity, employee welfare, and corporate recreation.

Government agencies and participating organizations each contributed a distinct perspective to the program. While the statutory briefings addressed regulatory requirements and public sector programs, the participating organizations introduced services that support the operational needs of businesses. Together, these sessions gave attendees access to information and professional contacts relevant to the day-to-day responsibilities of their organizations.

Holding the event at EcoWonder Park also gave participants the opportunity to experience one of CPIP’s event partners firsthand. As the venue sponsor, EcoWonder Park opened its grounds for a guided tour, allowing attendees to explore its existing attractions and facilities while learning about the park’s ongoing development. The tour offered locator companies an early look at the destination and its potential as a venue for future corporate activities, team-building programs, and company events.

The inaugural Statutory Updates brought together government agencies, participating organizations, and CPIP locator companies in a single program that addressed different aspects of today’s workplace. From statutory briefings and sponsor presentations to exhibit booths and the EcoWonder Park tour, the event provided participants with opportunities to gain current information, engage directly with resource persons, and connect with organizations that support business operations.

As workplaces continue to evolve alongside changing regulations and business demands, access to timely information becomes increasingly important. Statutory Updates showed that information is most valuable when it leads to interaction. By giving participants the opportunity to speak directly with government agencies, industry partners, and fellow locators, the program turned updates into conversations, questions into answers, and introductions into professional connections.
