On 16 April 2026, Coherent Laser Enterprise Philippines Inc. marked another step in its continued expansion with the inauguration of its third building at Calamba Premiere International Park, strengthening its operational presence within the industrial estate.
The program opened with introductory remarks from Coherent LEPI Site Manufacturing Director Cesar Baracinas, who set the tone by grounding the day in the company’s long-term direction and operational vision. He spoke of plans that move beyond intent, shaped instead as work already in motion, gradually unfolding through execution on the ground.
This was followed by the ribbon cutting ceremony, led by Mr. Baracinas together with Coherent DILAS Managing Director Marcus Klein, PEZA Director General Tereso Panga, and CPIP President Carlos Po. The gesture formally signaled the opening of the new facility, marking its transition into operational readiness within a gathering that reflected both continuity and expansion across the site.
After the ceremony, guests were guided through a facility tour of the first and second buildings. The walkthrough provided a closer look at established production areas and ongoing operations, framing the third building within an already functioning system that continues to scale in parallel with demand and investment.
Keynote remarks followed, offering perspectives from both industry and institutional partners.
Marcus Klein expressed appreciation for the teams behind the development. “I’m extremely grateful to everyone contributing to this,” he said, acknowledging the collective effort that shaped the completion of the facility.
Carlos Po emphasized the driving force behind sustained progress within the park. “Determination powers all of us,” he said, adding, “All of us Filipino people have it in our hearts, have it in our eyes, we will succeed,” reflecting a shared resilience that extends across workforce and community.
Tereso Panga of PEZA highlighted the broader significance of the expansion. “PEZA is proud to stand alongside partners like Coherent whose long-term commitment, reinvestment and relentless pursuit of excellence embody the essence of nation-building investment,” reinforcing confidence in the Philippines as a stable destination for manufacturing growth.
Cesar Baracinas closed the program with a succinct reflection. “The growth we have is impossible but we can make it happen,” he said, underscoring the steady execution behind each phase of expansion.
The inauguration of the third building carries a different weight compared to the previous milestone. The second building, inaugurated in February 2025, stood as a statement of persistence, a signal that Coherent LEPI could sustain and reinforce its position through consistent expansion. The third building, by contrast, reflects confidence, an affirmation that the company is performing strongly within its own field and is ready to scale further from a position of stability rather than recovery or establishment.
The newly completed 1,500-square-meter Solaris facility is designed to support the company’s growing production requirements, particularly in semiconductor laser assemblies, fiber-coupled laser modules, and other advanced optoelectronic technologies. With processes built around high levels of precision and specialized manufacturing, the facility further strengthens Coherent LEPI’s role in the global photonics supply chain.
